2020 Season Update – (posted on June 8, 2020)
Sadly, after many weeks of thoughtful discussions and deliberations trying to come up with an alternative to keep our kids swimming, the Aquadillo Board of Directors voted to cancel this summer swim season. We will now focus our energy on the 2021 season.
We made this decision out of an abundance of caution as there were too many variables that potentially compromised the safety of our swimmers and their families. These challenges also prevented us from offering a program for all ages that centers around improving swimming while having fun with the team.
We look forward to the 2021 summer swim season.
Aquadillos Board President
We miss you already!
Hello and Happy Friday!
I know that we were looking forward to seeing each other at the pool and our kids in the water. The board remained hopeful that our 2020 Aquadillo Swim Season would not be impacted by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis, but the NWSC has canceled this summer's swim season. We appreciate your patience and sincerely apologize for the cancelation.
As we sort through the impacts of canceling the season, here are the immediate issues we would like to address.
1. Refunds: The team will issue a full refund of your fees by May 1st to include any merchandise that you may have ordered.
2. Merchandise: If you purchased new merchandise, we would love for you to continue to display your Dillo pride. Feel free to repurchase those items through the website. Our merchandise coordinator already has the items in her possession and will happily deliver them to your door!
3. Aging out swimmers: NWSC Board has approved an option for any swimmers that participated with a NWSC team in 2019, who would have aged out after the 2020 season, to participate in the 2021 season.
4. Plan B? Believe me, we are extremely disappointed we will not have a full summer swim season! We are exploring options for other swimming opportunities if the city pools reopen. We want to get our kids back in the water -- even if it's not the season we've been planning! Stay tuned for more details.
Our thoughts remain on the health, safety, and well-being of everyone at this time.
Please take care of yourself and those around you!

2020 Season Update (posted on April 17)
Northwest Swim Circuit – COVID-19 update
April 17, 2020
The NWSC Board met to discuss the current COVID-19 situation and to look to the future of the 2020 summer season. With the health and safety of our participants as the top priority, we discussed many possible scenarios that might occur over the coming weeks as well as the various impacts on each team. Unfortunately, due to the unprecedented and unpredictable nature of any upcoming community actions, the NWSC Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season. Please note that the NWSC Board has approved an option for any swimmers that participated with a NWSC team in 2019, who would have aged out in the 2020 season, to participate in the 2021 season.
NWSC teams are encouraged to monitor their own situations and offer a program for their community if possible. The NWSC Board will continue to operate over the upcoming months and provide communication and support for any teams still planning on a program this summer.

2020 Season Update (posted on March 28)
News from the NWSC Circuit board for the 2020 season.
March 28, 2020.
Hi Dillo Family!
We hope you and your family are doing well.
Due to the extraordinary events these past few weeks, the NWSC Board has voted to delay the official season start date to May 11, 2020. May 11 will be the official first day of practice for all teams in the league. The NWSC Board also decided to shorten the season and cancel the May 16th and 23rd swim meets. The rest of the 2020 schedule remains the same at this time.
Please know that this was a difficult decision for the NWSC Board representatives. But because of the current shelter in place orders and bans on large group gatherings, this was a necessary decision. The NWSC Board is scheduled to meet on April 15 to reassess the situation and take any further action if needed. The health and safety of everyone is our main focus.
Thank you for your ongoing patience while we continue to evaluate and assess our 2020 season.

Depending on how the season changes, we will open up the ability for refunds. We will keep everyone abreast of this situation and communicate further information and updates as they become available.
Our thoughts are for the health, safety and well-being of everyone at this time.
If you have emailed or phoned recently, we apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Our primary focus has been making sure our immediate families are safe.

Northwest Swim Circuit – Coronavirus update (posted on March 13)
Please read the following statement from the circuit.....
Northwest Swim Circuit – Coronavirus update
March 13, 2020
The coronavirus (COVID-19) has prompted changes within the world of sports, including swimming at all levels. As COVID-19 actions continue to develop, the NWSC will monitor and assess any actions necessary to ensure the health and safety of all NWSC athletes, families and guests. Because the NWSC does not have any competitions or practices planned for the next 30 days, we will continue to operate as normal and monitor the situation as we draw closer to the start of our own season. It should be noted that USA Swimming has made the decision to suspend all events or any occasion that requires individuals to travel and gather for 30 days. USA Swimming has also advised all Local Swimming Committees (LSC) and clubs to suspend all USA Swimming sanctioned competitions across the country for 30 days as well. The NWSC will continue to observe and assess any necessary actions to align with USA Swimming or any other local, state or national direction in dealing with this situation.
The NWSC encourages everyone to seek further information using the CDC and the WHO websites:
- CDC Summary - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019 ncov/summary.html#situation-in-us
- WHO Advice for the Public - https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
We additionally ask all NWSC teams to continue to monitor their own situations and adhere to any locally mandated actions due to COVID-19.
Sincerely, David Strauss
President – NWSC Board
