Maddie Harris
Age-Group Coach
Hi my name is Maddie Harris, and I am so beyond excited to be a coach this season!
I started swimming when I was 8 years old and continued doing it until I was 13. I have always loved to dance, so I took a brief break to start my dance career. This past school year I was provided the opportunity to join my highschool’s swim team, and I happily did so. I rediscovered my love for swimming , and I plan on continuing the rest of my highschool career. This is my first year coaching Dillos, but it is not my first year coaching. I have taught multiple classes, and summer camps at my dance studio over the past two years and I love it! I am currently a junior, but soon heading into my senior year. I am apart of my school’s National Honor Society, currently taking dual credit classes, intern at the Early Learning Center through my education class, and on the path to graduate with a teacher’s aid certification. Some of my proudest accomplishments are going to state for TAFE, which is the Texas Association of Future Educators this year. I have also placed at districts, and qualified for finals at regionals this year for swimming. I also volunteer to help kids who can’t afford dance classes, and provide them the opportunity to learn and express themselves through movement. I have placed top 5 every year at dance competitions with my solos, duets, and group dances. Finally, I am currently being recruited by college dance teams to further my dream of dancing on a collegiate dance team.
